We approached this project from an artistic perspective, working with a cosmetic product made from ginseng root extracts. After selecting and purchasing real ginseng roots, I used photos from a live shoot as the foundation for the layout. Creating a compelling design using the intricate, tangled roots was challenging, but focusing on the beauty of the lines made the process enjoyable. The final layout represents a balance of yin and yang, with the stems wrapping around the cross-section of the ginseng root. I projected the Photoshop layers onto a 3D camera in Maya to complete the work.
